Weltall2 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Okay I have a Mac equiped with OS X 10.28. I need a video converter that will work within that handicap. Any help is appreciated. I have been trying forever to get video working for my PSP, and I am just so frustrated. I know that the for mat for video on the PSP is AVC. I also would like to get a free download if possible. If I can avoid having to pay 30-40 bucks you would make my day. Quote
*zeo Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Unfortunately there aren't any free mac PSP video converters. Though you can download the shareware iPSP and then buy it for $19.95. But the PSP does support the MP4 (H.264 AVC) format (at least on mines which has the latest firmware on it), which is basically the same used on the apple video ipod. So itunes should be able to convert it for you and itunes is free. Then once you have the mp4 video just go to the memory stick and create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into (for example) E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick. You may have to play around a bit with apect ratios, etc. But it should work. Also you can try just using the PSP web browser, the later firmware updates allows you to download video for later viewing. So a round about way of doing it would be posting the video where you can browse and then download it. Can check out http://psp.connect.com/ for some free video downloads to test it out. Quote
