Guest Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 I have just watched the Rahxephon movie and the Blue Gender Warrior movie and I was hugely distressed at how bad they were. The both used scenes from there Exellent series counterparts that just did not seem to add up. My Idea of a good movie made from a series is the Nadessico Prince of Darkness, it had its own story and could have been watched as a stand alone movie even if you never saw the anime series. Why is it when an anime movie is made from a series the movie always seems to scorch any of the class or craft of the series. What do you guys think?. Quote
Guest Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Well, I thought the Slayers Motion Picture was pretty good, as good as the serise, and I had an alright storyline except I felt they rushed through some things. And some of the fights weren't long enough but was an all round good movie. Another great one, was Samurai X (with the exception of the name of course) I thought Samurai X, was a great movie, the only problem being that they made the name of it and the OVA's as Samurai X. I was thankful for the low amount of fighting in the movie because it really let the story developed with just a few minor battles here and there. Romance, Action, little Comdey and drama mixing into one anime to produce a great movie. The only other problem could have possibly been the fact they used that flash back crap too many times, but still it didn't really steal anything from the movie and that I am grateful for. Quote
