Depends on the host's energy level, capabilities, and what exactly the host does. For instance, firing the giga smasher usually uses up so much energy that the gigantic deactivates.

Basically though, the gigantic has about the same metabolic rate as a zoalord. Or maybe that's a protozoalord. Either way, Sho got tired in the same fashion. My guess is that the energy amp crystals convert the energy much fast than normal, all for a single more powerful attack.
