omegaling Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 I know 90% of the people on the board probably won't care about this, but for the 10% who do... I am sad to make the same announcment that has doomed the English Guyver manga: "Liberi Fatali, as well all of my other fanfiction, goes on hiatus indefinately." As much as I hate to do this, I almost don't have a choice anymore. As much as I enjoy writing fanfiction, especially Liberi Fatali, I've come to the point in my life when I have to start signing off of sport and recreation and start planning for the future. Even though I plan on becoming a writer/freelance artist, that means I have to start focusing on the things that I can make a career of. The main thing I must turn my attention to is Vixen, which can't go on unnoticed and put second to fanfiction. I really didn't mean to make this melodramatic ; I'll pick at my fanfiction every now and then. I'm not saying I'll never write it again, and it's not like I'll be writing on Vixen non-stop from here on out. I'll get blocks every now and again, and I need something to fill that in. And who knows, someday you might see Fumio, Sara, David and Vincent as stand-alone characters in an original novel >D The only thing I regret not getting to in depth with LF are the teachers from the Academy. I think they were characters you guys you would have enjoyed (a whip-weilding, leather clan chemesty teacher, pyromanic history teacher and constantly hung over/stoned computer teacher, for example), but once again, they'll probably make an appearance in later works. I can't say I blame you Omega, because I know exactly what you mean, as it is I may eventually have to do the same thing with both of my current fanfics that I've been concentrating on (Summit of the Dark Hero & Sailor Moon Tainted Warriors) because I've been using all my inspiration on them instead of my original works such as Key of Destiny, Forsaken Warrior and my action/thriller for which I am still to find a suitable title for. Oh well, I wish you all the luck. Quote
gall_4185 Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 I'm sorry to hear that Omega, your work was always a joy to read. I wish you well with your chosen path and look forward to more adventures from Vixen Quote
Celestial Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 I too am in the same boat as you guys. At the moment I've just stopped working on fanfiction all-together. I finally found my novel and I've started writing it. Alot of us here completely understand what you're doing Omega, so let me just say I wish you the best of luck with Vixen. May there be few blocks in your future When it gets published I'll be waiting at the shelves to pick up a copy, then send it to you to be autographed Quote
Guest Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Oh Joy! More Vixen! I've been waiting for Chapter 2, so this is good news in a way Quote
Guest Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 No, I alwas loved the Liberal Fatali fanfiction, Vixens good and all but I was really found of Liberal Fatali and was waiting eagerly for the next chapter.......................... PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER SPARKY *gives myself a slap acoss the face* Seriously Omega I am kind of gutted that you've stopped the Liberal Fatali fic but it's your choice entirely and I respect that, just remember to post the next chapter to Vixen whenever you finish it though Quote

PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER SPARKY *gives myself a slap acoss the face* Seriously Omega I am kind of gutted that you've stopped the Liberal Fatali fic but it's your choice entirely and I respect that, just remember to post the next chapter to Vixen whenever you finish it though Aww, dang... This is why making this decision was so hard; because I know that there were people out there who wanted to know what happens, and I feel like I'm letting them down because I won't finish. On top of that, I'm dropping a storyline that I've been developing for almost four years... Dammit, now I want to cry T_T Quote
Guest Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 While it's true what I said about not wanting you to drop the Liberal Fatali fic I also said and I mean it that it's your choice entirely and I respect that so if it's best in general that you do drop it for your own reasons then do it, don't let this babling fool stop you (Incase you haven't guessed, I'm the babbling fool) Quote
Guest Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I think what Sparky's trying to say is, that its probably best that you do stop writing Liberi (Its Liberi, Sparky not Liberal!!) Fatali because if you want to focus primarily on your other works, then forcing yourself to write Liberi will probably end up wrecking it. Quote
Guest Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Yeah Rivens basicly got it right, I would like to see you continue with it but it's basicly whats best for you and your other projects, ot whats best for one person so if you decide to stop writing Liberal Fatali (yes Riven I know I'm spelling it wrong but I like the sound of Liberal, plus an added bonus it's irritating you ) I won't you hold it against you in the slightest.
