This is the end... Officially?
So apparently, Japanese fans also only found out about this via the Blue-ray release? Or so I heard. This is sad indeed. I wish him good health and I do hope he does select a successor to finish it. It's not unheard of for an author handing over the reins to someone else to continue the story. Take Berserk for example, after Miura's passing, the manga was able to continue by his close friend who he told how the manga would end.

Oh no! Did this come from any official source? Quick google didn't have any useful results.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
Nice list. I forgot that Skeleton Knight has a second season that just came out. Thanks for reminding me. It was out of my radar because I follow the Light Novel and they have not released a new volume for a long time. I wasn't aware the old country bumpkin began as a light novel. How far along is it? Is it worth the read? I'm running out of Light Novels to read and haven't found anything exciting to read since I finished Mushoku Tensei. I'm also stoked that the latest episodes of the exiled heavy knight seems to have toned down the recaps a bit. Hoping this continues for the rest of the remaining episodes. But then that means they would easily catch up with the manga, which I'm now reading because of the anime.

Street Fighter 2026
I still find the web series Street Fighter Assassin's Fist to be the gold Standard. For me this new movie is still somewhat goofy, but definitely leagues better than the disaster of a movie starring Van Damme.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
Funny enough, as a One Piece fan myself, I've never watched the anime (so I guess I can't call myself a true fan 😅). I've been reading the manga and have not once seen the anime. I guess having a thousand plus episodes is a big factor as to why. Back then it was still only 200+ episodes. heck, I even started reading One Piece when it was still in the 400+ chapters. Interesting about Dr. Stone, I watched the first 2 seasons, but wasn't able to start the 3rd season, and I've resisted reading the Manga. It was all interesting before the Tsukasa arc, but I guess I didn't get the same excitement to me afterwards. Jojo anime left me really disappointed. The best one was still the stardust crusaders arc, and those that followed are just "meh" to me. I've read the manga and really loved it until Stone Ocean and was really left disappointed with its ending. Then came the decision to make the Steel Ball Run universe fold into the Jojo-verse, which confused the hell out of me. After that I completely stopped with Jojo.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
Ok, I'm bored so I'm going to update my list. Currently, the Anime I'm waiting on are the following: Mushoku Tensei S3 - Definitely a must watch. Even though I finished the Novel, its still enjoyable watching this fully animated Tensura S4 - One of the web novels I've earlier read. Stories are starting to branch and I don't know what to expect. Re:Zero S4 - Haven't read the novels so this is one of the anticipated watch Bleach TYBW - Despite having a manga finished a decade ago, the anime introduced new material which was freaking awesome. This is definitely a redemption from the rushed manga ending. Exiled Heavy Knight - one of the newer shows I'm watching, mainly because of tiktok and youtube shorts Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman S2 - Another fun series for me. I am looking forward to the reboot of Magic Knight Rayearth, it was one of the best 90's anime I've ever watched. And of course being a Gundam Fan, how could I miss the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-Zero. Speaking of Gundam, I was kinda sad that they took down the 1:1 scale Unicorn Gundam in Odaiba Japan.

Hello again fellow guyver fans
Well, that's something to talk about. That would be much preferable than the deafening silence. 😅

RIP Peter Cullen
Such a sad day! A lot of celebrities seem to be passing away recently. There was Dolly Parton, then Tim Curry, and now Peter Cullen.

Hello again fellow guyver fans
Hey Odin, what's up with you?

The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary
Well, I do see that new last scene they inserted somewhat troubling. Optimus Prime is a respected commander of the Autobots, and his lifeless body floating in space is rather disrespectful. It's like they just threw his body out into space. If they did, shouldn't he at least be in a coffin or something for a proper send off? I don't know, just some nitpick I guess.

The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary
So are they adding some new scenes to this movie? After seeing all the comments online about how this movie traumatized a lot of kids when it was first shown, am I the weird one who actually loved this when it first came out? I've always thought that the movie is about Hotrod and his journey to become Rodimus Prime. Similar to the GI Joe movie where the premise is pushing Falcon as the main protagonist.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Man, it's hard to discuss this movie without revealing any spoilers. Hahaha. I think the difference between Brand New Day and No Way Home is that No Way Home banks on the nostalgia factor. I mean you get three generations of Spiderman fans together, so it's obviously going to be a colossal hit. Whereas Brand New Day focuses solely on Tom Holland's Peter Parker, and returns to the roots of the Superhero Mythos that Stan Lee established that the Hero has to be tragic, and I liked how this aspect was explored in the movie. There were probably a lot more scenes left out in the cutting room floor, so I'm interested to seeing those deleted scenes, especially those mentioned about villains that were supposedly cut. Do you think we'll get a directors cut for this movie? That post credit scene though..... Hmm.....

Spider-Man: Brand New Day
So... Who has seen this? I'm upset that some random clip spoiled the final scene for me, lessening the emotional impact. Still a pretty good movie. I really like the action scenes and the relationship dynamics hits really hard. I really do want to watch it again.

Avengers: Doomsday
Definitely something to look forward to this coming December. But before that, Spider-Man Brand new days comes first. Chris Evans looks different, I guess he's skinny now.

Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armor 40th Anniversary Exhibition
The Gale Hound Guyvers 1 & 3 as well as the Stato Hound Guyver 2F looks very interesting. Looks like these will be up for sale starting December 2026 and January 2027. No date listed for the Guyver 2F. This seems to be a collaboration with the Titanomachia series, which is very interesting to me. Huh, you learn something new everyday.

Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armor 40th Anniversary Exhibition
The sad truth is that we are now all older and should have a lot more disposable income compared to decades ago, so should there be new interesting products we want, we can easily afford them. Unlike before where they market to younger demographics, they need critical mass to be profitable. Now, they can just issue limited edition merchandise and we all be like "shut up and take my money" 😄
-
Guyver: The Bio-boosted Armor 40th Anniversary Exhibition
Either that or they are just milking the franchise off of desperate fans like us looking for more. More merchandise does not necessarily mean more new material. If the story will continue, they will make a big announcement of it. This is more likely a strategy to sate fans appetite over the vacuum the manga left, and keep the brand alive. They are skating on thin ice relying on nostalgia to drive sales. The fans are getting older and it will dry out eventually if no new materials gets released to hook on newer, younger fans.

The Awesome Figures Thread
After a long wait, a new addition to my G-Gundam collection has arrived. Still contemplating how to display it...

Avengers: Doomsday
With so many storylines telling how Dr. Doom wins (Secret War, Emperor Doom, One World Under Doom, etc...), one has to wonder which storyline they would focus on or borrow elements from. Most of the details points to 1985's Secret Wars (obviously), and there are even rumors of Cavill playing the Beyonder (is this even confirmed?). I just can't shake this feeling that Marvel will keep on releasing "leaked" information that is fake to troll everyone just for the sake of keeping its secrecy.

Masters of the Universe
Teaser trailer so far looks good. I just hope they don't botch this up again.
-
Avengers: Doomsday
So they're gonna keep releasing teaser trailers every week now? It goes without saying that I'm really looking forward to watching this on the big screen. It will be interesting to see how they mesh the different universes, as this movie is clearly a very big fan service to begin with, as with every MCU movie should be. I do hope they realize and understand what Deadpool & Wolverine did with choke full of references, and how those tiny but voluminous details propelled the movie to the top of the box office.

Kadokawa - Guyver Trademark Renewed
This is more likely a business decision on the part of Kadokawa rather than the author. Since there are figures being released for the Guyver, this copyright protects them from third parties developing unauthorized (pirated) versions of any merchandise they produce. Because if there is no copyright on the IP, you can be assured that a lot of 3rd party will profit from it. At least this way, even if 3rd parties develop any form of merchandise related to the IP, Kadokawa still profits from its licensing.

Swat Kats - First Ever Comic Book!
I loved Swat Kats! Too bad it ended too abruptly. Whatever happened to the kickstarter for the animated version?
