  1. We're getting off track. Explain to me why do you think the Advents value life even though they tried to destroy Earth with a comet? If they were willing to do that, theoretically what about all of the other planets that they destroyed for whatever reason?
  2. And he gets that from his creators. That's absurd. That goes in with someone declaring they're pro-life but they're also pro-capital punishment. Either you value all life or you don't at all. There's no 2 sides of the fence. Just because the Advents created life doesn't mean they value it. They were quick to want to destroy Earth. That doesn't look like a people that values life. That tells me that they don't value life unless it's a specific life form that suits their agenda. No, Archanfel is a manipulative controlling narcissist. He's doing what he's designed to do, control others like the Advents intended. He helped create the other zoalords to help him with that control. If they piss him off like Richard did then they're as good as dead. You're not thinking why the other zoalords are scared of him. Richard had every right to fear him during their confrontation. Archanfel even killed his own zoanoids for seeing him at Mount Minakami. This is a guy that owns a corporation that kills millions of people and zoanoids if they don't appeal to his wants and agenda. The manga has shown that. That's a No True Scotsman. We have serial murderers, rapists, and child molesters who don't value human life and see other people as objects. Then you have people with warped religious values that if you're not part of their goat herd and don't worship their sky father, they could care less about you because you're not worth it. We have people serving in the military that are taught to kill for their country. They're not trained to value life, but to defend the lives of their countrymen by taking the lives of those that threaten their country. I've met people that are so Pro-Life that it's a big deal to them and they're not keen on killing anything at all, that includes animals. Some people are vegetarian because they don't want animals killed.
  3. You are correct. It's still dead in the water. There's no telling when Yoshiki Takaya will pick it back up.
  4. Maybe. But like every living thing he needs energy to heal and without absorbing or consuming other living things he can't fully regenerate. He only partially regenerated before he needed Elegen to finish. Especially now with his current battle form, the energy he puts out from the Hyper Zoanoids that he ate prior takes a toll on him. He needs to absorb to maintain energy and mass.
  5. That's what I was thinking. He can't just have a cannibalistic appetite for zoanoids. He's probably into regular food. He only eats zoanoids, humans, and animals when he needs to regenerate. Is my assumption backed by the manga or the anime? No. Nothing is set in the manga and all characters are different. In comparison, I felt the same way about Guyot's set up when he was given a prototype zoacrystal. He wasn't designed as a prototype with a short life span and Cronus has a tendency to let their protos die because most protos are people, like Murakami, that they kidnapped and experimented on without their consent. So to keep them from ever talking, they give them a few weeks to live and then when they drop dead, no problem. If anything after his re-optimization, he's probably closer to the level of a suped up Lost Number like Neo Zx Tole but nothing like a "True Zoalord". We've only seen Guyot use his powers once after re-op and he didn't suffer any fatigue or pass out like Murakami did. The 2 Rogue Zoalords didn't want Guyot more powerful than them and also didn't want to send a dying assassin doing their dirty work. They're in an unholy alliance against Archanfel so it makes sense that they would keep him alive and this time they've got him on a leash . The difference that I can see is that Murakami was a test subject who was turned against his will and Cronus has a tendency to kill innocent people that they illegally experiment on and Guyot is not a test subject and was re-optimized for a new power source. People here presume Guyot's power is now like Murakami and will die if he loses too much power based on Murakami's set up alone. Do we know that as a fact? No we do not. Yoshiki hasn't set that in stone and well, he may never define what was done to Guyot or give Aptom new powers. This all remains to be seen.
  6. It reminds me of the Juche Regime in North Korea. Archanfel is the "eternal leader" and no one has any freedoms especially the other zoalords, like Richard who tried to hijack his position out from under him and now there are 2 more zoalords who have made their intentions known in the manga that they want to usurp him. I think Yoshiki was wanting to show his audience on how "some" of Archanfel's subordinates seem to perceive him as a deity. He is the most advanced life form on the planet. Archanfel was never human. The other Zoalords are formerly human and therefor they came from different religions and different walks of life. Which also explains why some of the like Richard have that human tendency to want what he has and rule like a deity. But they can't do that as long as he's alive. Barcas treated him like a god the moment he laid eyes on him when he got stranded on the island. Some of the other Zoalords act like he is a deity while a few like Richard and some others scorn or are jealous of his power and day dream ways of killing him. I imagine Archanfel has to talk to the other Zoalords in a way they can understand him even if he is borrowing day to day religious terms when he describes things to them. They're not as intellectually advanced as he is. If anything. Archanfel's situation reminds me of David from Prometheus. The Uranus made him and mankind because they could. But that's not good enough for him. He could ask them hundreds of questions about why they tried to kill him and why they left and no answer will ever be good enough because trust was dissolved when they tried to off him. It would explain why Archanfel doesn't value life at all because his creators didn't value life aside from being able to create it and manipulate it. When you experience something like that, you develop a different sort of morality and a world view. He was cultivated and raised by the Advents and did what ever it is that they commanded him to do like a good little boy. But the Advents treated life like it was something you cook in the oven at home and if you're not happy with it, throw it in the garbage and start all over again. Which is exactly what they did and when they had that incident with Guyver Zero and they made the decision to make a clean slate somewhere else. All in all, he's that little kid wanting to run off to find his long lost parents because the first answer he got wasn't enough (when they attacked him and sent a comet to destroy earth) It's caused him to have abandonment issues.
  7. I watched it. It's a good movie. I'll refrain from saying anything further out of respect of my fellow members.
  8. Based on Christianity? Do you have a source or a link or a statement from Yoshiki Takaya supporting this claim? From what it looks like to me. I think the Earth origin story in the franchise seems more or less based on scientology or some other home brewed UFO religion because it was heavily discussed in the manga and the anime that "aliens" designed planets, humans, the guyver technology, zoanoids, and life in general. Maybe the Uranus / The Advents are capable of making supreme beings. Did they make Archanfel like a deity or is he just a super being? I don't think we have any way of knowing the full extent of the Advents technological powers. Are the Uranus / Advents divine deities themselves? No they are not. In a panic they fled after Guyver Zero blew up one of their Relic ships with the mega smasher before they had Archanfel kill him and they tried to erase earth from existence while they were at it. That means Guyver Zero killed the Advents along with that ship. If you're a group of immortal supreme deities, you wouldn't fear for your existence by committing neocide or mass genocide out of fear of an entire race. I think the Zoalords probably come close to being like Polytheistic Pagan Deities like Odin, Sol Invictus, or Zeus. They seem god like in the show and manga but that doesn't mean that they are. I don't see it that way. I think it's based on Greek Mythology. The are 12 holy commandos like the 12 Greek deities that ruled over humanity in Greek Mythology. The Zoalords called their faction Cronus after a Greek Titan. Uranus is the Greek sky deity that is the father of Cronus. Guyver 3 calls himself Zeus based on his agenda to destroy the Zoalords and take control. I remember it differently. I remember that they evacuated Earth. Sent a comet to destroy the Earth. Arkanfel tried to stop them. They disabled him and left while he destroyed the comet. I don't remember anything in the manga about them going to "heaven". I just know that they're a united galactic race of aliens that cultivate planets with super advanced technology. I did not vote because voting yes or no is inferring a claim. I do not believe in the existence of deities. I identify as Atheist. I will go no further as I do not think this thread was intended to change one's beliefs or lack there of.
  9. I have no clue why this didn't have such a huge success in America. It does remind me a little bit of a Marvel story. Just no clue why it didn't take off in this day and age.
  10. Maybe he'll succeed. He failed horribly at depicting the Joker. I think the one antagonist role that he did a good job was in Blade Runner 2049 playing the antagonist Niander Wallace.
  11. @Matt Bellamy Well, it's 2022 and this thread started in 2015. Have you gotten a new gaming PC yet or still using that one?
  12. Just wondering. Is the Zeus reference that Agito keeps using, Guyver 3's appearance, and his feud with Chronos hint towards the lore of the Shinto deity of thunder, Raijin?
  13. Depends. Guyot's not on equal footing unless he steals a guyver unit and gets his own gigantic. I don't see Agito as a hero. So a guy who screws people over to get what he wants, who is actively killing villains, suddenly makes them a hero? Agito has been in it for himself since he was introduced into the manga. While his followers in the plotline think he's a hero. He's been far from it. He's a dictator in the making unless he manages to get killed in the process of taking out Chronos. Then he'll be remembered as a martyr. I see him as a villain fighting other villains for control. He wants revenge and he wants everything they have. Have you not noticed in the manga he's starting to behave more like them? He's turning people into a new type of zoanoids to fight for him........you know? He betrayed on Sho, who isn't the first person he's betrayed, and tried to kill him....? Do you see where I'm going with this? While Chronos doesn't have to use a military to rule over people because of their telepathy. Agito would have to use other means like he's been using on Chronos with his men and turning his abused girlfriend into a zoalord to control those people for him. While I'm not Yoshiki Takaya. I'm just theorizing. I just know Agito said he wanted to wipe out Chronos and rule over mankind in one of the anime scenes. When one says rule, they're often speaking of Fascism, Juche, Monarch, etc. That leads to military keeping the peace. Of course they don't want to stroll around telling everyone what to do every minute of every day. That is tiresome. But the the kind of control I'm talking about is one ruled through fear and your lieutenants doing what you want without falter. If someone tries to betray Agito. He simply has to intimidate them with the Guyver, wipe out any insurrection groups, or have them killed and people will keep serving him. He'll have those that support him and those that quietly hate him and plot his downfall. Agito has control of military groups that he picked up in America that he united under him that want Chronos and it's leaders gone. He doesn't have any politicians in his pocket like Chronos does. They turn everyone who serves them. If he were to take over, he'd have to use his military at some point. I assume Agito's men both fear and respect the super powers that he already wields. If he didn't have those super powers. They wouldn't have been so quick to follow him. I don't know what promises Agito has made the men following him during the year that the Segowa's went into hiding. I never said he was omnipotent or omnipresent just because he is equipped with alien technology to rule the world. I know we have members on this board that puts the guyver so high on the pedestal that they act as though they're like deities and that's absurd lol. They're far from it. Even the Gigantic's power is limited. You use too much power and it shuts down and kicks out the user and vanishes into a worm hole to recharge. A Monotheistic or polytheistic deity or dieties wouldn't need to do that. What dictator doesn't? Agito is like one of those cult leader type dictators that draw people to them because they're charismatic and they enlighten their followers. Their followers are completely blind and think they can do no wrong. People thought Mussolini was great and wonderful for a while until they opened their eyes and saw that he was narcissist sociopath who was abusing his power and his supporters. It's no different than what Agito is doing with the Zeus Thunderbolt. He's suggesting that his supporters take part in human experimentation to become super soldiers, and they're dying for him. They don't know they're putting someone just as bad in place of someone else. Does Agito's men know his full motives? If they did they wouldn't serve him. He'd be stuck doing it on his own like Sho, Aptom and the Segowas are doing. Dictators never fully give up their power. They always have someone else at the ready to take that person's place in case they royally aggravate them. Hitler delegated out his power. Kim Jon Un has people that run his country for him while he sleeps around with other women, parties, and eats nice food while his people starve and when his subordinates annoy him, repeatedly fail him, or he thinks they're going to betray him he has them killed. Stalin had people helping him run his government. Mussolini even had people supporting him and doing his bidding. That sounds completely out of his character. Last I saw, Agito tried to kill Sho. Unless his fight with Sho changed his attitude as well as his perspective and world views, that remains to be seen. I don't see him as the type to share power or seat someone else the way he's behaved.
  14. You would think as fast as his virus replicates that you'd think there'd be different variants and mutations and making a vaccine with all of those mutations in mind would be near impossible for Chronos to keep up with. How so? I'm just speculating if it's possible. Canon wise, the manga isn't finished and I'm not sure what Agito's got planned. If Sho kills him or if he survives. I just know that if the zoalords are removed. The nations will have zoanoid power and that'll be an even bigger mess when it comes to war and other countries using it for their own agendas. That is once Chronos is removed from the equation. I think it would be imperative for Sho and Agito to leave Sin Rubeo Amniculus alive to keep the peace. On the terms that he's not allowed to construct any more zoalords because most of them developed a god complex. I don't think Sin would allow them to war and murder innocents unrestricted. Imagine the Taliban going around with that kind of power enforcing Sharia Laws and proclaiming how they're a religion of peace. Because Sho and Agito aren't going to live forever the way a zoalord can. It worked for people like Stalin, Fidel Castro, Kim Jon Un, and Ramzan Kadyrov long term. Any government carries the seeds of people rioting and inciting a revolution if they're not happy with their government.
  15. How do we know his rule will be a peaceful one? It's a fact that Agito is never satisfied and that's he's the biggest schemer I've ever seen in a franchise. A lot of what he does is manipulation, sabotage, murder, and premeditation to further his agendas. I say murder because he tried to kill Sho. He condemned some of his supporters to death when he convinced them to become Libertus. He'll do anything to get what he wants. Most of his moves in the comic and the show were power grabs. He has little regard for others. He'll say and do anything to get what he wants. To me that is a narcissist. Peace just doesn't seem to be a character trait that he has. We're talking about a character that displays narcissism and sociopathy to get what he wants. If he's not betraying someone, he's puppeteering them until he's done with them. He did it to Sho as there's been a few times where he almost got Sho killed when he stripped him of the gigantic in combat. He let Sho temporarily die so he could use him to destroy the Japanese Branch. He just tried to kill Sho in a one on one before the manga went on hiatus. He's currently manipulating Shizu by having had her undergo a process that resulted in a severe irreversible mutation so he can use her to control his Libertus. They don't have a healthy relationship. She's been groomed by her father to be submissive to Agito. He doesn't just want to end Chronos. He wants to assume control. That means create a world government based on a system where he has control. He's already doing that with the Zeus Thunderbolts while Chronos is slowly slipping from his constant attacks against their infrastructure. He's killed more zoalords than Sho, he's killed more zoanoids, before he was a guyver he was sabotaging Chronos. IF he defeats Chronos. He's going to try and find reasons to use the Dark Gigantic. I seriously doubt there would be any peace after he assumes control. But so far he's been the perfect guy for the job in ridding the world of Chronos based on everything he's done.
  16. No. Aptom couldn't kill them. He escaped. The Libertus were designed by Hekering to rip hyper zoanoids apart. Aptom was outnumbered and they would have surely killed him. I have theorized that Agito wanted to have him killed and removed him from the playing field. Aptom is basically Sho's only super power support right now as Agito betrayed him. Most if not all of them died fighting Guyot, Guyver 2F, and the Unus. Guyot wanted to take the Segowas hostage and hold them for a ransom, as I'm sure you can probably guess what for. He's far from invincible. There's been many times he's had to retreat through out the manga and anime series. Neo Zxtole almost killed him. Enzyme 3 almost killed him. Chronos is making stronger zoanoids that are inoculated against Aptom. He can't eat the newer types. Eventually I wouldn't be surprised if Chronos vaccinated all zoanoids for a herd immunity against him. They're trying to phase him out and cut off his food supply. It was never mentioned. But I wouldn't be surprised if Agito had them inoculated against Aptom. We're talking about a guy who betrayed not only Sho but was a Chronos Collaborator through his Uncle. Agito isn't someone to be taken lightly and I don't think he's ignorant and unenlightened enough to have had them created knowing that Aptom could eat his super soldiers and cause him problems. No, Agito is smarter than that. This is a guy who uses lateral thinking and forms of manipulation to get what he wants. He learns as much as he can and then comes up with ways to disarm and aggravate his enemies. Most of his plans are premeditated. The fall of the Japanese Branch was premeditated. He planned on them killing Sho and then used Sho to wreak havok on them while he worked in the shadows. This is also someone that took a lot of time planning Guyot's murder. Agito has proven in the manga as well in the anime that he wants to rule the world in Chronos's place and he'll kill anyone that gets in his way including Sho. He's killed more zoalords than Sho has. He's done the most damage to Chronos. He's done a lot of covert operations against them. He's sabotaged them as much as he could when he was masquerading as a collaborator. He started a revolution. His superiority complex is what allowed him to temporarily commandeer Sho's Gigantic, especially when Sho was in battle. Perfect way to get Sho killed, which also sets the premise for Agito to deflect blame for his death. He's a narcissistic sociopath who uses others to get what he wants and then he kills them after he's done. A lot of what sociopaths do is premeditated and they're very charming and convincing. He fooled Guyot until it got to a point that he was found out. He had been planning on screwing Guyot and Chronos over from the start of the story when he stole a Guyver unit and he did while his Uncle Genzo was director, who he screwed over. That's all he's done from the start is one power grab after the next and throwing people under the bus. If it gets him one step ahead, who cares. When his plans fell apart after his cover was blown when he was scheming against Chronos. He resorted to puppeteering Sho until he was done with him & while doing so he formulated and meditated on different methods to screw them again. He sweet talked his followers, The Zeus Thunderbolt, and his girlfriend, Shizu, into becoming Libtertus after he kidnapped Hekering who was one of Chronos's greatest biologist. He doesn't care about Shizu. Only what she can do for him. With her and his super army he butchered thousands of zoanoids all for a pat on the back from a guy who is just as warped as Chronos is. He's resourceful, he's ambitious, he's cunning, masterful in manipulating others, and he's power hungry. He's extremely intelligent. More so than Sho. We're looking at a guy, a sociopath, whose desire is to get revenge and rule the world as a dictator. A guy who is willing to rule through a stratocracy and that often starts with an army and people giving them power which he has been given. This isn't someone Aptom could win a fight with.
  17. I wish they just kept it limited to the films. The shows are a chore to watch and it's just not fun after going through all of that rubbish with WandaVision based on the first 5 episodes of sitting through it having thought that it would have taken off after the first 2 episodes. Evidently that was not the case.
  18. Favorite words from my hero, Christopher Hitchens.
  19. The costume looks really derpy.
  20. My sympathies and condolences for your loss.
  21. How about the old Mortal Kombat? 😄
  22. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to defend your own person. People have already made up their mind about you. In their mind and their perspective. You're the bad guy no matter what you say or do. There's nothing you can do to change that. It's called a witch hunt where someone or some people are going to hate on you regardless of how good your argument is. They're not open to seeing things from your point of view.
  23. You ever get the feeling he and his Guyver ghosted everyone without so much as a goodbye handshake?
