Is Super Saiyan Blue 3 possible?

Recommended Posts

This has been on my mind for some time. I wanted to get the Advocacy's opinion on this. Do you guys think Goku or Vegeta could achieve a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan/Blue 3 transformation? If so could they sustain it? Do you think their new god powers would negate the original drawbacks of Super Saiyan 3? Do you think fusing would help?

To keep things simple from now on I will only refer to the new god forms as Super Saiyan Blue. The name was coined by Whis in the Dragon Ball Super manga. I think it's fitting, and it saves us from a lot of confusion. I hope this is agreeable with everyone. :)

No, I think that any progress beyond this point is forever impossible. They will never exceed the power they have at this point. It's just unthinkable. Let alone sustain such a hypothetical transformation! It's ludicrous. The Saiya-jins have reached the ultimate plateau of their power and to reach beyond it is folly.

Kind of like how expecting anything of substance from the Dragonball franchise is folly at this point.

As Salkafar said no.

The creator of the series said Goku wont use these forms any more, like Kaio-ken and the Ascended (Grade 1) and Ultra (Grade 2) forms from the Android saga SS2 and 3 are getting dropped for the more powerful SSB.

Apparently SS2 and 3 are just forced power ups  for SS like the ones from the android saga. They make Goku stronger but waste too much power. Infact his training with Whis has been primarily about not letting any of his ki escape his body at all. So like GT and SS4, Goku's dropped these wasteful forms for something better, God Power!

As for fusion Goku and Vegeta will likely never fuse again. Toriyama has said that out of all the saga's the Buu saga is he's least favorite, infact he hated it. By that point he his passion for the manga was very low and he was desperately trying to finish. We will likely never see the fusion again outside of Gotenks

However I will disagree with Salkafar on one thing they could very well get progress in power. As it stands there are at least 5 people who are stronger then Goku and Vegeta in Super and if the series continues for a while more will come. And if theres one thing Goku can do it's get stronger.

And if Frieza can surpass SSB Goku in power after 4 months of training then anything is possible in the DB universe

anything is possible in the DB universe

That's what I mean. What does it matter? What is at stake? Is there any other conceivable outcome than Goku winning by becoming stronger than before? I am not asking 'Why should I care', I am asking 'How can anybody care anymore'?

Its been a long established fact that Dragon Ball has lacked any real stack in its events. The primary problem has and will always be the object's its based around, the dragon balls. Magic balls that can literally undo any action the villain dose. The creator has come up with lots of ways round them but they are always there.

You ask what are the stakes well I have to ask what are the stakes in any super hero comic? In most main stream hero comics despite all that happens everything will eventual return to its status quo eventually and the hero will always win eventual. Goku is at least not as bad as Superman as he has to work to get stronger rather then being as strong as the writer needs him to be at the time. The only difference is that dragon ball is an on-going story told by one man while comic are retold time and again by different people and interpretations.

There is literally no reason to care aside from your love of the characters and dragon ball as a whole. I know Goku will always win in the end but its seeing his journey to that point is fun. Dragon Ball has never been complex or well written but it has always been fun and entertaining, thats all it was ever meant to be.

To give Super some credit though Goku hasn't been winning a lot of his major fights this time around as he lost to Beerus and techniquely to Frieza as well. Its also had some good plot development to. The mystery of of the other universes and Champa were built up way before they would become relevant, something that's unheard of in this series. Also unlike before Goku hasn't just surpassed Beerus by one story arc, we are three in and Beerus could still wipe the floor with him, another unheard of.

If your looking for something complex  and evolving the DB isent for you, stuff like Guyver is. I love both for very different reasons.

Super Saiyan Blue is possible because Akira Toryama want's it to be possible. I've come to think that everything is becoming over exaggerated in the DBZ universe. I always thought Goku had a higher purpose in the DBZ, or was some messiah that would stop Buu from destroying the universe. Much like John Connor had a purpose in stopping Skynet....or the Dragonborn in Skyrim's purpose was to defeat Alduin and Miraak and become Hermaoeus Mora's new champion / Immortal demi god champion. Or like Neo who was destined to save everyone in the Matrix. Yet this new series takes away from Goku's destiny as a legendary hero that seemed to have a purpose.....which no longer is that way.

That explains most of the characters in the DB franchise. Most of them served a good purpose, and then no more. List the characters, and then think up the last time they did anything major, then narrow it down to if those that id anything major did anything recently. They feel like glorified background characters.

Super Saiyan Super Saiyan God aka. Super Saiyan Blue and Freeza "new evolution" show how lame and forceful new Dragon Ball series is. Though, I like the idea of tournament between two universes (in my opinion they borrowed idea from that fan-made Dragon Ball manga http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/),Dragon Ball Super doesn't feel like Dragon Ball at al. Cell Saga was pretty dark and distrubing, all Cell's assimilation thing gave me some chills when I was kid.

I like the Dragon Ball Super Manga, but I can't stand the anime. I think Toriyama is worn out and just trying to find anything to appease the fans. I thought the two recent movies were good, especially Resurrection F. I have no shame in loving Super Saiyan Blue and Golden Frieza. Something about them just seems refreshing. I really wish the new forms become available for a created character in a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse game. :)

Battle of Gods was cool, I won't denied it,movie was pretty logical. Resurrection of F had great idea, but in my opinion turned out to be cheap ass. I expected that Freeza evolution will be something similar to Cooler 5th form, instead, we got "Super Saiyajin" Freeza. SSJ Blue to me look like some sort of photoshoped SSJ. No to mention that I liked idea of SSJ God is special transformation whih require saiyans to share energy, also I liked idea of powerful god like Beerus ( I like that bastard ^^). I hope that idea of Super Dragon Balls and the twin universe develope in right direction. Unofrutently, Dragon Ball Xenoverse also disappointed me... :-D

If played right this could bring a lot of possibilities all they have to do is remove the dragon balls out of the equation like they did in the cell saga and make the super dragon balls the new quest to restore balance again, explore new worlds and meet new people and perhaps if they are smart and remember their lore they could bring old characters back (future trunks anybody? time travel laws there are of the multiverse equivalent) and so on. even tho it has a slow pace at the moment I still have faith that they could bring a lot of cool things at the table. Also lets not kid ourselves, there will be a new form after super saiyan blue probably the last where they have completely mastered control of their ki and body (super saiyan white) it is all a matter of when.

Nope, the gods of dragon ball arent immortal, they just have very long lifespans. Even Beerus, who's been around before a very long time (he's apparently older then any of the known Supreme Kais), can and will dye one day.

Its more like a god mode, they gain access to god ki and a level of power they could never achieve naturaly. they may also have other supernatural abilities we haven't seen yet. Normal Super Saiyan God had the power to nullify Ki and granted Goku healing powers. Also when his power clash with Beerus's in an uncontrolled way they risked destroying the universe.

Gods of Destruction also seem to have the power to destroy anything. When Beerus and his twin brother Champa clash, they produce energy that erodes and destroys everything around them and can destroy both of their universes. Even their Teachers/Servants Whis and Vados fear this happening despite being stronger then two of them. As they say "Gods of Destruction should not fight".

I think this tops a SSB3

Super Saiyan 2 is a x2 power boost

Super Saiyan 3 is a x4 power boost

so a Super Saiyan Blue 3 is x2 + x4 power boost  to Super Saiyan Blue - 1 x 2 x 4 = 8

Super Saiyan Blue Kaioh-Ken is a x10 power boost  to Super Saiyan Blue - 1 x 10 = 10

Just saw that episode two days ago. Goku's explanation and others why he never did use it while as a Super Saipan in the other forms is because Super Saiyan Blue is more refined and more controlled as result of him limiting his ki from leaking out.

Hit is interesting as he is new. The dub even mentioned the improvement during a battle has always been Goku's thing.

Also technically this Super Sayian Blue with Kaio Kenx10 should put him in the same league as Beerus now.

Vegeta has to catch up.

For moment Piccolo was relevant but only for a moment.

It does seem this series or at least this tournament isn't really about power but abilities.
