Do you often make friends on forums?

Do you have several friends on here and other forums that you visit? 

 

Despite the question, no you don't have to share specifics. 

 

I tend to be a stranger at some or most. Here, I find this forum pretty interesting. Small but some what active in its own way. I do have a friend at another forum, if I can call him that. He talks about his journal and his travels quite often. He likes to fly helicopters and spend time at a club that he owns over in Maine, or so he says. I never can be sure what people tell me over the net, especially some of the other Anons. People tend to be dishonest. Some times to the point where it can be a bit much at times. But yes, I have some people that I speak to when I'm not talking to the people I do know. 

 

But in every forum, it can be common for some to be friends. All in all, I am looking forward to seeing what some of you have to say.

Define friends?  There are friends that you talk a lot with, and there are friends that stab you in the back.  On my perspective of the subject, anyone that I've had a considerable and amicable conversation with is considered a friend or an acquaintance.  Of course there are levels to friendship that rates proportionately to the levels of trust.

Back stabbing friends are not friends at all. I believe a friend is someone who thinks of you positively for the most part and has your back. If they cannot do that or think of you in a positive manner. Than what does that make them?

Frenemies?

 

Well, I don't normally make enemies.  Having good friends is a good thing.  And having bad friends would help you stay sharp.  You know what they say, with friends like that, who needs enemies?  I use the term friends loosely, so what I perceive as friends may not be exactly the way that you perceive them.

I suppose just for our own amusement we can settle on that word. To me a friend is some one that shares the same interest as you. They are people of common shared interests. I would like to give you my special thoughts on what I think of those friends and such a thing is better said in my favored tongue.I have something special that I want to say to you, Durendal. 

From one bekanntschaft to another.....Diese Art von Freunden, wieder sind sie stechende Stücke von Abfall. Umgeben Sie sich nicht mit den Wölfen im Schafspelz. Leben ist zu kurz. Ich bin sicher, dass Sie die Bedeutung früh genug erfahren.  I like your term of friends also as enemies.  Wenn Sie nichts dagegen haben, bin ich mit diesem Thema nun erledigt.

I will take your advise to heart. But with the current times, you really can't tell if or when you'll get stabbed in the back. You will only know a true friend if they are still with you in troubled times. A privileged which I am fortunate to have.

I dont have many people that I can call "Real" friends in real live.

maybe 4 or 5.

But I got lots of friends over the internet, who I can talk to and share my feelings with.
