Prometheus Guyver

Recommended Posts

How about a prequel? Focus on how he got to the point where he is now. Like 'Breaking Bad': he starts out as a complete underdog and quite sympathetic, and everybody roots for him - and gradually he grows more and more powerful and less and less human until he is a complete monster. Say he didn't do all of this alone. Say Prometheus started as an organization that resisted Chronos from within (Kind of fitting, since Prometheus opposed Zeus), like professor Odagiri, and gradually they all sacrificed themselves - until Strigoi betrayed the last of them, using as an excuse that this would gain him enough power to defeat Chronos for good, in a perfect Pyrrhic victory: by now, he was as bad as the thing he was fighting.

Thank you for the input.

An origin story would not be a bad idea and having him do all this by himself, at least right from the start, is a little farfetched. His origins remain the same but while he loves the research he's doing at Cronos  and is rather eccentric he has his misgivings about Cronos's plans. While he dose have his little "why wasn't I chosen for more important work" break down this doesn't lead him to stealing the unit by itself. The Guyver I of his universe who is a Cronos employee and has similar aspirations to Lisker manipulates him into bonding with the unit saying it will make him more useful to Cronos and allow him to get the recognition he deserves. Guyver I dose this because Strigoi is only a scientist and should be fairly easy to eliminate even bonded to a guyver. This all leads to Strigoi being forced to go on the run from Cronos.

He spends some time on the run, living like a vagrant and beginning to suffer from the side effects of the virus .  It is during this time his family is killed, he doesn't have a wife or children but he dose have a brother and his family who he deeply cared for. Not long after this he is approached by a female Guyver III who invites him to join Zeus (in this universe Zeus is not created solely by Guyver III, instead it is lead by a group of people who all have ties to Cronos). He helps them with their scientific work as well as field missions and they in turn help him cure himself of the virus's side effects. While he makes many friends during this time it becomes clear that his ordeals have had a very negative effect on his psychi.

Eventually he proposes the Prometheus Project. Using all the data and equipment they have stolen from Cronos to create their own optimised soldiers. This idea begins causes friction in Zeus and begins to create a rift between Strigoi and Guyver III who were becoming close friends. This is the point were he starts working down the dark path towards Prometheus.

His second arc will take place while him being as he is now, opening on one of his planetary experiments. We are introduced the Council of Guyvers, Prometheus's quest for Paradise and the team of guyvers who are trying to stop him. For the first part of the story Prometheus is more in the background and the heroes primary deal with his bio-weapons. However after the heroes destroy data that would have lead him to Paradise with the aid of the Predators Prometheus makes his way to Yautja Prime, intent on destroying the homeworld of the Predators. Things look pretty bleak but then something happens that is both fortuitous and terrible at the same time. Prometheus, due to an oversight on his part, loses control of his ultimate bio-weapon, Project Red. Now unable to control his army and facing a foe more powerful than himself Prometheus is forced to allys with the heroes in order to survive.

Something I just realised I don't actually know just how powerful Prometheus is!

Just how strong would someone with strength proportional to that of a guyver be with a 300x power boost?

Its a very great idea. I like how the character looks in the Guyver armor. Great job man. :)

Jupiter  - Thank you.

Salkafar - That's taken care of in two ways. One his head beam actually draws out more heat the a standard one. The heat produced is so intense that the laser is blue instead of the green or red. Also by being able to use the beam for longer periods of time it can expel even more heat. The second is that it can also expel heat through its face vents. The armour is able to alternated between the normal gas releases and heat release.

Also hopefuly coming soon (well a month or so's time) -  "Prometheus Gigantic"

Ok so a few changes and updates to the armour. One of which is going to be taking the character in a very different direction the I originally planed.

First the armour is now five times stronger than a normal guyver rather than three.

Head Beam Addition - The beam of the hybrid armour is blue and is hot enough melt Boron Nitride in seconds!

Mega-Smasher Addition - Upgrades: The armour can now regulate the energy output of Mega-Smasher allowing it to alter the beams strength. This ability was installed because if it is fired at maximum power Prometheus's Mega-Smasher can easily destroy a planet.

The Dark Control Metal Changes - "However there is still a lot of mystery surrounding Dark Control Metal. Unlike all the of the other material of the armour the black metal it is comprised of it is completely unidentifiable. It is seemingly almost impervious to damage and on the one recorded instance of it being so it regenerated instantaneously"

A dangerous new power will be revealed for the armour tomorrow and it is tied to the Dark Control Metal.

Are you going to make his Gigantic version or does he not need it?

Are you going to make his Gigantic version or does he not need it?

I will be when I get the chance but i need to flesh out some stuff about his dark control metal first.

Ok may as well do this now. His Control Metal has been infused with Void Matter.

The Void is the place between realities, it is pure nothingness. The void erases everything that comes into contact with it but on ridiculously rare occasions an object will become part of the Void but not destroyed. When this happens it becomes Void Matter.

While Void Matter exists it simultaneously doesn't. It can be seen and touched but it has no mass or energy. It is unaffected by any of the strong or weak forces and it cannot really be harmed by any one thing in creation. Even beings who can alter time and space cant affect it. Even being who can manipulate reality cannot manipulated it because it is not part of creation. It can only be damaged by attacks that are infused with multiple aspect of creation.

However to most beings void matter is useless. Since it can only be affected my incredibly powerful energies and is so rare very few have ever been able study it much less make use of it.

Prometheus became curious about the void many years ago and tried to study it. He sent special probes that had semi-sentience and wormhole generators allowing them to travel to the void and back. However like everyone he else found that studying the void was impossible, every probes he sent there never came back. So he gave up, no point wasting his time. However 50 years later one of his probes reappeared. This probe had not only somehow survived its trip to the void and become Void Matter but its programming and ability to travel through dimensions had also remained intact. However it was had been heavily altered. The probe had been the size of a small care but was now the size of a Prometheus head. Also it had originally resembled the Relic Ship but was now a black sphere.

The probe contacted it creator, stating that it had taken this long for it to properly gather and calculated data on the void and the void matter it was now comprised of. Appone its retrieval the probe gave its creator all the data it had collected. After examining the it Prometheus quickly realised that this could revolutionise his work. However there was a problem. While the potential of void matter was incredible there was no safe way to use it. That was when the probe revealed it could control its void matter just as easily as it could its original biomechanical form. However there was only a limited amount of void matter available to use so he had to use it sparingly. After another 20 years of research (the work made easy by the probes data) he develop the Void Control Orb Prototype 01 (VCOP). However none of his bio-weapons survived its use. Their bodies just could not handle its effects, he needed a stronger test subject. He even considered using himself but even with his guyver he would not survive....or at least not as it was. It was this idea that pushed him to final upgrade his guyver into its current hybrid form.

During the optimisation process he had the probe fuse a small portion of itself with his control metal and had the VCOP 01 infused into the armours systems.

While not comprised purely of void matter, his control metal is now very hard to damage (it is effectively indestructible by any conventional means) and because the void matter used was formed from biomechanical matter it can also regenerate if it ever is damaged.

VCOP 01 is located inside Prometheus's body and can channels, generates and manipulates the very essence of the void, essentially pure nothingness (it is based on the technology of the guyver's Gravity Control Orb). When Prometheus activates it his body begins to generate an aura of nothingness. This power is called the Ultimate Eraser because "everything" that comes into contact with it is erased. This includes space, time and all sub-dimensions of that reality at that location. Prometheus can control and alter the size of this aura at will. Using this power causes Prometheus's body to take on aspects of void matter (i.e. has no mass or energy, is unaffected by any of the strong and weak forces etc). This power is very unstable and is only used as a last resort. Any mishandling of the power could cause irreparable damage to the fabric of reality (at which point reality can no longer repair itself and is at risk of total destruction) or even erase Prometheus himself. Prolonged use of this power will will have similar effects. Because of this Prometheus cannot move while using the the Ultimate Eraser because it could disrupt his control.

Among his other works he is currently trying to perfect the Ultimate Gigantic Armour that can make full use of his VCOP technology.

Your definition of this character is very remarkable. You've put volumes of thought and detail into this. It is a very impressive and detailed thorough idea of a character that you've invented. I really like it.  :whoo:

Thank you

This is getting a little too much like W'Kar to me.

I literally had no idea who that was until I looked up. To be honest I had not read much of warrior guyver related stuff until after I had created Prometheus and I still am not greatly familiar with it.

The power of the void/nothingness is something I wanted to incorporate from the start but I could not think of a way to do it then. I think I will alter the armored functions a bit. Maybe drop the bio-freeze power and  have Void Control Orb be the orb on his chest?

Big spoilers here

Prometheus in the future becomes a Gigantic and then an Exceed. While I wont reveal the full scope of his backstory and powers yet his Exceed form if colossal, easily three times the high of Sho's Exceed. He now resides almost permanently on a planet called Hecatoncheires. It is in fact a planet size biomechanical organism he created. Fused to a black thrown at the very heart of this cosmic horror is Prometheus Exceed. He is now almost a true void entity, syphoning gigantic amounts nothingness to empower his armour rather than energy from the booster dimension. Most his energy is used to empower Hecatoncheires and all that goes on within it. His thrown also absorbed genetic material from him which is used to create his "Children", xenomorphs and bioweapons spawned from his own flesh.

No longer bound by his madness, Prometheus evolved into an being of near absolute power and intellect. He now seeks to fulfill his childhood promise, "To use all he'd learned to help others". He plans to bring true peace and unity to the multiverse....by allowing all life to be reborn as his Children and erasing anything that threatens this great unification. Prometheus travels through the multiverse, infecting realities like cancerous virus. Each world that is assimilated will breed its own forces which spread out to infect others. Each of the Children preserve the memories their their hosts (but are not influenced by them) which creates a giant, multidimensional database that links to Prometheus through the genetic hive mind he shares with his Children.

Even though his almost completely immobile and most of his energy is used to power Hecatoncheires and fuel his Children's growth he wields enough power in this state to destroy worlds in the blink of an eye. And whenever he rises from his throne, entire universes tremble.

This is getting a little too much like W'Kar to me.

Ok finally full read what W'kar is. The difference between the two is that W'kar absorbs energy while void matter (or rather the void control orb) generates void (nothingness) that erases all it touches. The user doesn't absorb anything they destroy. In a way void matter is the opposite of W'kar and the Quantum Matrix. Edited by Prometheus Guyver

Why do you want to create a god so badly?

Have you ever had someone ask you a question that was completely obvious but it never crossed your mind, Well you just asked one

Hmm if I'm brutally honest its a combination of my lifetimes worth of poor self esteem and feelings of inadequacy fused with my pent up creative ability and fueled by new self confidence.

I guess Prometheus was born from my childhood desires. A creature so powerful that none could hurt it and could crush anything that stood in its way. But more importantly he has the power to create a world of his own and force others to live in it because for a long time I felt that I had been born into a world that I didn't belong  and which forced me to conform with it.

Its dark but that's how I did and will maybe always to some degree feel that way. Thats why I could not make him a hero or even a just a normal villain. To satisfy my selfish desires I needed a dark god that could remake the world.

Its funny I'm not a very dark person. But I've never really had a good outlet for my negative emotions so its seems I ended up using them to create Prometheus Guyver without fully realising it.

That was very therapeutic for me.

So Prometheus is was born from my childhood unhappiness, my adults selfs creativity and imagination and a fusion of my to favorite works of fiction Guyver and Alien. Not the worst mix to build a character from.

And before you ask I didnt make him a god from the start well because I just couldn't do that. I wanted a character who would grow and change over time. I didnt want a just a god, I wanted man who became a god.

I did something similar, actually.

I still use him as my stock villain on Furaffinity.

Kind of like Tiber Septim from the Elder Scrolls? He went from a man/ demi god to become a god right after he died.

Not really.... Tiber Septim didn't become Talos. 3 different men became Talos; Tiber Septim, Ysmir Wulfharth, Turin Arcturus who mantled Lorkhan. They were so much like Lorkhan that the Universe couldn't tell the difference between them and so they became Talos. Just like how the Champion of Cyrodiil in Oblivion Mantled Sheogorath and in the end became Sheogorath.

Ok I'm going to go into a little detail about his fighting style. As I said it's self taught and unpredictable but I'm going to explain why.

Original Adolphus like sho had no fighting skills whatsoever, relying more guyvers power and his own intelligence. While he was on the run he was hunted by Guyver I and chased into a sewer system. He almost died but was able to out think his foe and trick him into collapsing the tunnel after making Guyver I wasting power attacking him.

After joining Zeus he was trained by Guyver III. She initially instructed him in Muay Tha, then taught him how to effectively combine it with the guyvers weapons and abilities. Thanks to his knowledge of biology, he was already aware of all

the human body's weak points and could quickly diduse those of zoanoids, zoalords and guyvers. After some time he's fighting skills matched those of I & III.

In all the time that has passed since he left earth he has never forgotten his training, infact due to his megalomaniacal perfectionism at that point in time he sought to improved on it. And he did this in a very unconditional way. By studying xenomorphs. He watched how they moved, reacted, attacked and defended. He even went so far as to spend periods of time in the hive on board his ship, mimicking the xenomorphs in their day to day tasks. He learned how scale walls and ceilings by using his Gravity Orb. In time he was able to, like the xenomorphs, to move and fight in a 360 degree battlefield. Making full use of his environment to outmaneuver enemies and strike from any angle with incredible speed, agility and grace. Also his inhuman movements while doing this often inspired fear in his opponents.

Because he has lived so long and fought against so many foes he has incorporated many other self taught techniques into his style making him a very adaptable fighter. This combined with his power makes him a deadly foe.

Anyone who's ever gone up against him and lived have attested to this however they say the scariest thing about him (even scarier then the way he moves) is his silence. He doesn't laugh, taunt, insult, threaten or growl. Not even when his hit, injured or angry. He just silent watches you with those cold, blue eyes analysing and studying you, peering into your very DNA. Seeing all your flaws and weaknesses.

I stood in a ruined city were gods once walked, all around me is battle.

I and my comrades both old and new fight for our lives against an endless tied of red horrors. All the while the mother of these nightmares, the great red war goddess towers over us.

She dose not care for use, we are like ants to her. Her only interest is to find the the one who made her, the one she betrayed, only one she fears. The one we all fear.

I fight with all my strength, we all do but are foes are merciless, bred for the sole purpose of ending entier worlds. It is a fight that will likely end in our deaths.

Yet even now he is on my mind, the being who destroyed my world and countless others. The monster who we have spent so long fighting. Yet now he is the only thing that could be our salvation.

When I first met him he inspired such fear, a fear that will likely haunt me until the day I finally die. Yet now this being is my only hope.

What cruel twist of fate would make me put my life in the hands of a creature that slaughtered worlds just to satisfy his curiosity!

But if Project Red is not beaten she will likely could became a horror worse then her former master. But still the thought makes me feel ill.

And yet now despite all the hate and fear, despite all he has done. I think of him and.....I... pity him.

How can I even begin to describe what it is like to see the man within the demon. That underneath all that terrible power and intellect is a lonely being driven to mania by the pain of broken heart and the unfulfillable desire to make the world right.

I have not, nor will I ever forgive him and when this is all over I will find a way to kill him. But it will not be just out of a desire revenge and justice that I will take his life but also kindness.

But here is not time to dwell on the what one may do in the future, I am in a fight for my life and unless he succeeds we are all dead.

But in that same breath part of me wishes he won't. If he should succeed I do not know what will happen. His mask has slipped, his soul baird and his mind is in turmoil.

He may save us all, he may destroy us, he could go back into the safety of his madness or he could choose a new path for himself.

And I fear him once more, fear what his choice will be. And I question my own choice, have I done the right thing?

Soon Prometheus Guyver will be no more........

Soon Prometheus Gigantic will be born into this world ........and I will have my answers.
