The Brief

Guyver is what?!?!

Guyver is known for certain things, but we want to see something that is not known for. perhaps something really outlandish, or you could just make some sort of parody of a character from guyver. the theme is the word 'orange'. you can interpret the theme how you like.


Rules and Requirements, Prizes and Judging.

All entrants can submit one piece of work. They may replace this piece of work with another as many times as they like up until the deadline.
The entry will be submitted when it is posted in this thread unless the entrant specifies that it is not a submission.
The image must be a normal web format, preferably jpg, smaller than 1280 pixels high or wide.

The deadline will be saturday the 1st august at 10.00PM (GMT).
This gives you one month as usual.

The piece must follow all applicable forum rules.
All entrants must be prepared to take criticism on their work. This is not slander upon their work but merely opinion to aid in the final decision
The pieces will be judged on the thought behind them, the effort put into it, the impact.
The judges decision is final.
anyone can enter except judges.

By entering the contest you are agreeing to allow this forum to host your work in the form that you submit it. It will not be used for commercial gain and all copyright will remain property of the respective owners.


The Prizes.

There are two prizes up for grabs!

one prize is Evil Aptom miniature from Guyver.


The other prize is Libertus miniature from Guyver.


The winner will have the choice between the two prizes. The runner up will win the prize that the winner did not choose.


The Judges.

One judge is Me, Ryuki.
we will likely have more judges but it should not effect your entry. you should aim to please the community.

Same here. I just wonder how I'm going to fit in 'orange'. I expect some strange entries this time around.

you can use the theme any way you like.
if you feel you can justify it, then it's fine.
for example, I can say that my avatar fits a theme of car, because the kitten is pretending to drive a car.

this just give you people a framework to use so you don't feel too lost.

bananaking, yes these are the gahsapon miniatures.
very cool, I actually have libertus and griselda myself. I love the detail and the style is perfectly suited to the manga.

Err.... correction about the prizes. They are NOT Gatchapon or capsule toys. They are something much better. They are the 4 inch Trading figures, so they are much bigger than the normal gatchapon toys which were previously given away. The details are much crisper and they also have a display base. I was kinda hesitant giving them away seeing how impressive these figures are.

Also, it was mentioned that anyone can enter except the judges. What about me as I'm not a judge? (just kidding LOL)

really? I was sure max factory was calling them gashopon when they were originally released... well I don't argue about it.
it's true, I have heard them called trading figures as well.

still going through a rough time, still can't replace the stolen PC, am in dept, and also in the middle of a move while doing full time at a minimin wage job. However, I do plan to present a mascot in the future just for the heck of it. Good luck to the rest of you though! I really hope to see something juicy.

P.S. trading figure is mark of quality but it is also Gatchapon inherently, just much more expensive.
