Here is a short explaination of what VIP membership is.

This site costs money to run.
The server must be paid for, the domain must be paid for...
The forum software costs, the gallery costs...

I don't ask members to pay for the costs but it would be nice to have some help. That's why the VIP membership exhists to give people a little bit extra in return for them helping out with the costs of the site.
To be a VIP member costs the paultry sum of $10 US. other currency
In return, you get an increased PM box, relaxed forum controls such as more file size availability for images etc.
You get a private forum that only VIP can access.
You get access to the scanlations that are stored on this server, meaning you don't have to wait for megaupload and also they are not stored in ZIP format, so you can browse through one page at a time.
You get a sparkly VIP badge on your screen/profile.
You get the sense of wellbeing that comes from helping out the community.

I think there is more stuff.. maybe a VIP member can post here saying what they get out of it?

well actually, to become a vip it's best to go into control panel and purchase a paid subscription. that does it automatically.
if somebody doneates using teh bottom button, there is no automatic proicess. i would have to then change that member to a VIP manually. that's no problem, but it's just easier and quicker to do it in control panel. the bottom link is for if somebody just wants to donate to support the site.
the gallery license has run out so if there are any software upgrades for teh gallery, I can not get it.
also, I'm wondering when the lease on the server is up and if i'll be in a position to pay the next bill.
but it'll work out. no worries. i'll go without food if necessary.

ok now i'm pissed off.

the subscriptions thing has been removed from the forum and included as an optional 'add-on'. so i got to install the add-on, which would be fine, if it didn't break the bloody forum.

well it's not a busy thing anyhow, so what i'll say is that i can do it manually. all ya got to do if you want to donate, just send to me in paypal and say it is for VIP membership and i'll upgrade your membership as soon as i see it.
